Team Tilt is a sailing squad that offers structure and support to young Swiss sailors. The team won the Bol d’Or Mirabaud and the D35 championship in 2015. Teammates Sebastien Schneiter and Lucien Cujean are preparing an ambitious 49er campaign after successfully qualifying for Rio in 2016, finishing 13th after only two years in the circuit. Teammates Sébastien and Lucien qualified Switzerland for 2020 in the 49er class, finishing 10th at Aarhus Worlds. The squad represented Switzerland at the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in 2013 (4th) and in 2017 (3rd). Team Tilt was crowned 2018 GC32 World Champion in Riva del Garda (ITA) and claimed 2nd place at the 2019 GC32 Worlds in Lagos (POR) ! The team also supports various other sailing projects in Switzerland.
Alex Schneiter christened his first boat “Tilt” in 1987 after his first sponsor, Tilt Sportswear. He raced a Mini 6.50 into second place in the Mini-Transat alongside Patrick Firmenich, competed in the Solitaire du Figaro with a Tilt and is a two-time M2 Catamaran Champion. Alex also holds the Bol de Vermeil for winning the Bol d’Or three times on a monohull and the Ruban Violet monohull record from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back.
