The 49ers’ first day of racing was on Sunday 16th. Sébastien and Lucien had a first difficult race, finishing 18/20, and improved on the second race of the day with a tenth place. They proved they can sail against the worlds best sailors, posting a 5th place on the last race. The team finishes 17/20, a very good result for this young crew ! “Our objective was to learn as much as possible here in Rio”, explains coach Tom Saunt. “The fleet was smaller and very high level, it was difficult ! But our main target is to perform in this environment. We are a young team, we have a lot to do.”
