Team Tilt is a sailing squad that offers structure and support to young Swiss sailors. The team won the Bol d’Or Mirabaud and the D35 championship in 2015. Teammates Sebastien Schneiter and Lucien Cujean are preparing an ambitious 49er campaign after successfully qualifying for Rio in 2016 and obtaining a great score of 13th after only two years in the circuit. The squad represented Switzerland at the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in 2013 and in 2017. Team Tilt also supports various other sailing projects in Switzerland.
Alex Schneiter christened his first boat “Tilt” in 1987 after his first sponsor, Tilt Sportswear. He raced a Mini 6.50 into second place in the Mini-Transat alongside Patrick Firmenich, competed in the Solitaire du Figaro with a Tilt and is a two-time M2 Catamaran Champion. Alex also holds the Bol de Vermeil for winning the Bol d’Or three times on a monohull and the Ruban Violet monohull record from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back.
